poetry, may 25

Under the coronal of sugar roses
You thrash like a martyr
Like candied glass actually sand like silt sifting through fingers
My fingers. Or like the ocean like juice like liquid love-hurt like
Favorite (swim against the waves the tides) jellyfish
Don’t disintegrate but bring your dreams/ambition/sweet dreams
Goodnight. But don’t
Go yet. Don’t get yourself impaled
Yet: eat the pollen rip the petals smile
So I can cry an ecosystem a starfish a star
Be a star. Whimsical star lollipop that has its own light (mine) stay
Still be heavy is the head is the
Heart/heroes kill their lovers
Kill me. Kill me. Kill me.
