It’s evil, isn’t it?
The way it flows down the skin
Rips you apart, makes you thin
Cuts you deep, makes you stink
Acidic, but it makes you think.

Dictation of your judgment
For a pain that’s substantial
Circumstances not in your favor
And moments made bizarre.

You see your face,
Facing the facade
Acidic Dictation:
Primitive hazard
Speaking through
The language of love and blood.

Benazir Zilani is a singer-songwriter by profession, but still finds her escape through poetry.
